Feeling frustrated or uninspired by a writing project you once loved?

Know you have a story to tell but just can’t seem to get started?

I get it! I’m a writer too.

I was chosen as Georgia Author of the Year in 2021 for my novel, The Nature of Remains. I also write shorter pieces, both fiction and nonfiction. I’ve been twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize and received notable essay in The Best American Nonrequired Reading.

For the past thirteen years, I’ve taught writing at the college/university level and in the community. I’m also a student of the sacred arts. I find that practices labeled mystical—ritual, guided journeys—could just as well be labeled creative. My own writing practice is a blend of the practical and the mystical, and I’ve found fun ways to share this approach with others.

All to say: I can help you! I have a keen editorial eye and many original ways to approach the ancient craft of storytelling. I offer classes and individualized experiences.

I love helping writers find their way out of the weeds.

And if you’re not a writer, but in need of a writer—I can help you too.

Totally staged. Most days, I do not wear silk blouses to peek out from planted grasses.

“If a story begins with finding, it must end with searching.”
